About Us

In continuous operation for over 40 years, Elkhart County Gravel provides quality pit products that meet the needs and specifications for highways, roads, foundations and large-scale parking lot operations as examples.

Quality of our materials is the most important aspect of our company. All of our operations are Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) certified and produce materials to meet or exceed INDOT's specifications. In 2006 our company was named Indiana Quality Producer of the year by INDOT.

The safety of all our operations is top priority. In 2005, Elkhart County Gravel was awarded the National Sentinels of Safety award by the National Mining Association. (The oldest occupational award in US history).

All of our plants are inspected annually by the US Bureau of Mine Safety, (MSHA) and all of our employees receive safety training annually. Every year, our plants have received a safety award by the Indiana Minerals Aggregate Association.

As a member of the Indiana Minerals Aggregate Association we are involved with the Indiana Environmental Stewardship Council and have a registered reclamation plan for all our operations that show our promise to reclaim our properties back to a more natural environmentally friendly setting.
